Importing Top Producer 8i into Advantage Xi

 

  1. Login to Top Producer 8i
  2. At the top of your screen click on Contacts > Search for Contacts
  3. Choose “All Contacts”
  4. Click on the [Search] Button
  5. Select ALL the displayed records using the checkbox button in the upper left corner of the display grid
  6. Click on the “Export Contacts” menu item at the bottom of the screen
  7. Select the option to Export   (*) All Contacts
  8. Select the export option (*) Contact record and all addresses and communications
  9. Click on the [Export] button
  10. Enter the filename C:\contacts8i.csv then click [Save]
  11. When the export process complete then press [OK]

 

 

 

There are some fields that are larger in Top Producer than in Advantage Xi so you must run the following link to make the fields larger…

Importing data into Advantage Xi

 

  1. Login to Advantage Xi
  2. Utilities > Import
  3. Select “Top Producer 7i/8i” from the type of file to import > Next
  4. Click on the […] button to select   C:\contacts8i.csv  > Open
  5. Select or add a classification in the upper right corner if you like (optional)
  6. Click on the [Begin Import] button
